Quality and Safety
The company's Quality Assurance Policy was outlined by both the company's Chairman and General Manager as follows:
"In today's business environment, where market demands increase daily and competition intensifies due to various reasons (market liberalization, labor specialization, elimination of domestic market protective measures, etc.), it is evident that quality is a competitive factor that plays a key role in the predominance of a given product or service in the marketplace. In recent years, continuous investments in cutting-edge technology have created a dynamically growing market in which INTRAKAT is actively involved, meeting all current requirements based on its long experience and versatile presence in the construction sector. Achieving cost-efficiency, combined with successful scheduling and effective project management is the main challenge INTRAKAT faces in offering high quality services. All of us, the Board, the management and the employees, strongly believe that high quality is achieved through the continuous efforts of each and every employee on a daily basis, firmly and consistently adhering to the following strategies:
- Full compliance with and continuous improvement of the company's quality assurance system
- The fulfillment of our customers’ quality demands
- Constant communication with our customers
- Working closely with our subcontractors and suppliers to jointly take measures that improve project quality

Quality Assurance System
INTRAKAT, having anticipated current market requirements and domestic and international developments, enacted a quality assurance system that was certified under the BS EN ISO 9002/1994 international standard in June 1997, to consolidate its position in the construction industry and further expand its business horizons.
The company was later re-evaluated by Hellenic Organization for Standardization according to the International Standard ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000.
Nowadays, the company is certified by TUV AUSTRIA Hellas, according to EN ISO 9001:2008.
INTRAKAT is certified for "design, construction, installation and technical support of building, hydraulic engineering, harbour, electromechanical, industrial-power, road building works, telecommunications installations, natural gas works, athletic projects and computer system- work projects, design, manufacture and surface treatment (hot dip galvanization, powder coating, wet paint) of composite heavy and light structures, production of metallic components – installation and sales of composite heavy and light structures – design, supply, construction, installation, inspection, maintenance of photovoltaic power supply stations-trading of material related to electric power production and storage – manufacturing and sales of prefabricated shelters."
Safety and Health Policy - Environment
Being aware of the impact of accidents on the man, the environment, the society and the company itself, and understanding the social responsibility that every company and organization has in each sector of productive procedure, firmly believing that it should face effectively the Safety and Health issues, in order to continuously improve the safety level in all company activities with an emphasis on the technical projects that it performs, INTRAKAT within the framework of the broader sensitisation on this issue, implements a Safety Policy, that corresponds to the requirements of the current legislation, and moreover provides coverage for the prevention of:
- accidents to the company employees and third parties
- damage or pollution of the environment
- damage, loss or destruction in establishments, constructions, material, production and equipment
that may occur from the activities of the company.
In order to succeed this aim, the company sets as primary goals:
- training of its employees at all hierarchy levels
- allocation of responsibilities to all the persons involved in the construction of projects that it implements
- design of model contracts that determine the safety obligations of its subcontractors
- continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of the safety level in its activities.
The company in order to meet the above goals, has developed and operates an integrated and structured Safety Management System, which is incorporated in the overall company management and provides all the necessary resources.
INTRAKAT is certified by TUV AUSTRIA Hellas according to "Environment ISO 14001:2004" and "Health and Safety OHSAS 18001:2007."
